Guidelines

Please follow the following guidelines when making a referral for treatment for all programs:

  • The client has at least 7 days sobriety BEFORE referring them to treatment.

  • The client has at least 3 months of sobriety BEFORE referring them to the 21-Day Follow-up Program.

  • Clients with both medical and mental health concerns must be stable BEFORE entering into treatment.

  • If the client has been receiving psychiatric care, we will require a brief assessment of the diagnosed mental health concerns, medication review, and behavioural issues BEFORE treatment.

  • We accept clients on medication for diagnosed medical or mental health concerns. If the client is on medication please discuss this with the Clinical Supervisor during the intake process.

  • If the client is on prescribed medication please inform the client to refill the prescription BEFORE coming to treatment. We will not refill prescriptions for clients.

  • All medical, dental, social issues, financial concerns, and child care situations should be attended to BEFORE coming to treatment.

  • If the client is involved with the legal system all legalities must be dealt with before coming to treatment.

  • Please remind clients about our telephone policy. While in treatment the phone WILL NOT be accessible to clients for personal use. Clients are encouraged to phone during their passes.

  • Please read the acceptance letter to your client which outlines the items the client should bring with them to treatment.
