Summary
of Programs
Co-ed
Programs - This program is for women and men over 18 years of
age who have an identified alcohol, drug, gambling addiction, and/or
mental health concerns. Clients are expected to have at least 7 days
sobriety prior to treatment. We offer gender specific groups for women
and men during this program.
Women
Only Program - This program is specifically for women over 18
years old that have identified addiction/mental health concerns.
21-Day Follow-up Program - This co-ed program is for clients
who have completed a treatment program, maintained their sobriety
for at least a 3-month period and are ready to explore secondary
issues in second stage recovery.
14-Day
Support Program - This is an opportunity for a family member/friend
to support their loved one in treatment. A support person can apply
to join the treatment program for the last two weeks of the program.
The support person must have at least one year of sobriety and be
familiar with residential treatment.
Guidelines
Please
follow the following guidelines when making a referral for treatment
for all programs:
- The
client has at least 7 days sobriety BEFORE referring them
to treatment.
- The
client has at least 3 months of sobriety BEFORE referring
them to the 21-Day Follow-up Program.
- Clients
with both medical and mental health concerns must be stable BEFORE
entering into treatment.
- If
the client has been receiving psychiatric care, we will require
a brief assessment of the diagnosed mental health concerns, medication
review, and behavioural issues BEFORE treatment.
- We
accept clients on medication for diagnosed medical or mental health
concerns. If the client is on medication please discuss this with
the Clinical Supervisor during the intake process.
- If
the client is on prescribed medication please inform the client
to refill the prescription BEFORE coming to treatment.
We will not refill prescriptions for clients.
- All
medical, dental, social issues, financial concerns, and child
care situations should be attended to BEFORE coming to
treatment.
- If
the client is involved with the legal system all legalities must
be dealt with before coming to treatment.
- Please
remind clients about our telephone policy. While in treatment
the phone WILL NOT be accessible to clients for personal
use. Clients are encouraged to phone during their passes.
- Please
read the acceptance letter to your client which outlines the items
the client should bring with them to treatment.
