So since I left treatment, I did relapse...but it all came together for me in the end. I am now going to school and taking upgrading. I am also on the waiting list for housing. but for now I'm living with my dad, who just got married recently by the way, and his 2 children. It's good. I try my best to do as much as i can to help out around the house. I am now also sitting on the youth council at our band here. I'll be going to a spiritual healing gathering held in Dawson City, Yukon in a couple of weeks. So I'll be seeing you guys if not November...on the rebound. I also wanted to thank each and everyone of you for all your understanding and patient while i was there, you didn't fail because you all made me a better person and helped me to understand why I do what I do. I am a counselor in addictions and concurrent disorder working in southern Ontario who is looking for an opportunity to work in the North I came across your web site and am very grateful for the 'honest'and 'spiritual' comments that past residents have left. It is clear that NJKTC treatment centre allows those seeking treatment to be 'heard' and 'loved' in a proper way. I believe we are all spiritual being's having a human experiance. I believe when I was there, we were one of the first intakes...the place was brand new. I still remember the feeling of being welcomed..as a real person. It's a feeling i took with me when i eft.after "many moons" have passed...i find I'm living life as a whole person and have recently begun to get in touch with my Metis roots. This is a direst result result of the learning how important is is to know who i am and where i came from. When i stumbled across this website, i can't describe the emotions that swept over me. I remember so well, the staff...and especially the friends i met while there. I cannot express the gratitude i feel in my heart. You helped me regain my self-esteem, my identity, and my indepedence.
